Story: Consumer behavior

I have still not been Apple Watch user yet. I am observing how information impacts my mind to actually buy it. May happen, or may not.

Consumer behavior is the study of individuals and organizations and how they select and use products and services. It is mainly concerned with psychology, motivations, and behavior. – Brandwatch

Psychological factors:
Everybody’s response to a particular marketing campaign will be based on their perceptions and attitudes. A person’s ability to comprehend information, their perception of their need, their attitude, will all play a part.

Social factor:
Peer groups, from family and friends to social media influence. This factor also includes social class, income, and education level.

Personal factors:
A person’s interests and opinions. These will be affected by demographics such as age, gender, culture, profession, background and so on.

Dear Apple: Face to Face – Apple Watch

Customer doesn’t want you to tell them why you’re so great. Customer wants to look at other people saying you’re great. This is a great real example and no more value story than this video. If currently, customer considers their health, this video gives them a huge impact compared to similar products.

I like these completely different tones. Not everyone considers health on daily basis. We know that. This video focuses on comprehensive functions on Apple Watch and it’s rhythmical and funny. I don’t think many products can embrace this gap as one product. Great!

One of reason to not Apple Watch yet is my lifestyle. I am not so active for health. I don’t need to take every activity records.

I came up with one idea. How about Apple Rewards for Apple Watch user. People give the records, information to Apple. Apple rewards user achievement somehow. When a user buys Apple product next time, it is going to be reduced.

Apple rewords gives us motive of activity more. In the result, people keep health. The government can use the budget to a social issues, such as climate change, education, equality, homelessness, rather than medical. Everyone will be happy.

I am between interest and search. I don’t know when I take action yet. sometimes bank(or some organizations) gives away Apple Watch for customer acquisition. I may want to try an old model if it’s less than $100. Priority is not very high for me even though it’s interesting product. Will see.
