Story: Research and learning
Many people care about Cryptocurrency these days. I feel that many people are trying to invest $10K to receive over $100K. Sometimes it may happen, but in most cases, you lose.
My standpoint is just keeping my job. So, I don’t touch these industries in daily life, but I am working with a client which is in the crypto/blockchain industry. This is brand identity development. So I need to learn about crypto, cryptocurrency, blockchain, bitcoin? in general.

Not only learn meaning and definition, but the related websites are also helpful, font, color, photo, illustration, etc. Every form has a meaning, someone decided it somehow. Good to know, but please don’t forget core. We are the designer. A majority is not always correct. We sometimes intentionally choose a minority direction for branding.

Basically, an early investor gets huge leverage. It’s an investment. 1 bitcoin values $60K according to the video. There are many point(& cashback) systems even though it’s not a blockchain, but digital currency which we can use globally is no wonder it exists in the future.

Welcome to Ethereum
I heard Ethereum on Bloomberg Technology. Ethereum is a technology that’s home to digital money, global payments, and applications. In 2021, Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency.
The website shows futuristic illustrations and colors. The font looks standard. It’s System UI.

I looked for Libra by Facebook. Then I found diem. I heard Libra a few years ago. Mark Zuckerberg was invited to the US congress as a testimony. I don’t know after the story. I just know it’s not real life yet.
The font is NB International Pro. Big cobra earing with brack lady, light purple is mysterious.

While both the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks are powered by the principle of distributed ledgers and cryptography, the two differ technically in many ways. For example, transactions on the Ethereum network may contain executable code, while data affixed to Bitcoin network transactions are generally only for keeping notes. Conclusion: Purpose of research
One preference of designer’s work for me is that I can learn about many industries through a client’s project. I basically keep open to new trends, but I cannot consume all of the information. However, once I start working with a client, priority goes up to the top subject.
Many people say you(general meaning) need to focus. If I listen to this advice, I don’t have to search for each project. If I provide 1 specific outcome, I may be able to charge more than double to a client. I always remind myself, what’s the goal for it?
In 2016, I was working on projects which I estimated between two digits to $500. I could not take time for learning. Therefore, I shifted from graphic design to web/digital design. My minimum engagement is $2000 to $3000 in 2021. How much do I want to charge? Before that, how much value I can provide?
This is an eternal subject for a business of design.
