Branding Process

Branding Process

Define the problem, purpose & goal

At first, the client and I both need to understand what the problems are, where the client wants to go. Define the problem and goal. This process always applies to any project. I also make sure the purpose of work and how to measure the project.

The process for improving output quality

I need to thoroughly understand your business, customer, their expectations and behavior, and how your brand factors communicate with them. I will also look at the competitive customer touchpoints, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Identify the personality traits of the brand

Brand Attributes are the core values that define the company and represent the essence of the brand. They’re the set of fundamentals and characteristics that identify the personality traits of the brand in the market and in the minds of the customers.

The name of a company that is designed in a visually unique way

A logotype is the name of a company that is designed in a visually unique way for use by that company. It uses a special typeface and letter styling, which becomes associated with a brand. These include PMS colors and how much empty space is required around a logo.

The face of the company & display as ID on social media

A logomark is the face of the company. A logomark doesn’t generally contain the name of the company, it more abstractly represents that company. It enhances brand identity and helps consumers identify what your business is about.

Represent a brand personality & message

In color theory, a color scheme is the choice of colors used in a design for a range of media. Color schemes are used to create style and appeal. I will generate your brand color through industry-standard, suitable and uniqueness of your brand.

Keep consistency of voice and tone

During you build a brand, you have to communicate with audience directly or indirectly. Either way, you have to keep consistency, the same voice and tone. Primary & secondary fonts are chosen to display your brand voice in print/web media.

Display how your brand identity look like in the real world

At this point, you developed a brand identity. I would like to make sure how it works in a real situation. In general, I create a business card, Email signature, flyer, brochure, poster, banner, T-shirts, etc. I also create social media usages, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. This depends on what you need.

A clear & cohesive way that reflects the brand

The purpose of a style guide is to make sure that multiple contributors create in a clear & cohesive way that reflects the corporate style and ensures brand consistency with everything from design to writing. It writes usage of brand identity, exclusion zone, incorrect uses, color pallet, fonts & mockup.

Web Design Process

Define the problem, purpose & goal

At first, the client and I both need to understand what the problems are, where the client wants to go. Define the problem and goal. This process always applies to any project. I also make sure the purpose of work and how to measure the project.

The process for improving output quality

I need to thoroughly understand your business, customer, their expectations and behavior, and how your website factors into all of it. I will also look at the competitive landscape to establish context and benchmarks for how your site should function.

Visualize the result of research and display the directions

I observe a lot of information about your business, industry and tendency through research. I visualize those information, words to picture. The moodboard also helps us to discover the project’s direction and align the vector at the early stage of the project.

Appearing the volume of pages and contents

Wireframing helps us to see the volume of contents, pages, text and images. While it’s not nearly as detailed as the final site will be, wireframing give us a visual representation of the site’s overall layout.

Transform wireframing to high-fidelity design

I incorporate a copy, images, and graphics on wireframing. I design high-fidelity comps that show what the final design is. It will prioritize which device first for a target audience, on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. I will be providing up to two rounds of revisions on the design.

Visualize prototype into the real online platform

Once we agreed on the prototype design, I start building a website by WordPress/Webflow. Both software is client-friendly CMS(Content management system). The client can update themselves. I can edit both platform by HTML & CSS.

Provide seamless experience by responsive web

Once I have finished development for a 1st round, I will ask you to walk through on the website. You may want to modify some details. I will take care of it up to 3 rounds. I use various tools to benchmark your site for loading, responsiveness, and speed.

Be public, build brand & focus on sales

Finally, your website will be on the public. I will make sure your online platform, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn expresses the same atmosphere, voice and tone. I will be able to monitor and report your website as optional.

SEO, digital marketing & reach target audience

The launch is not a goal. This is a real start. I recommend retaining my services after the site is launched to assist with any further support issues that arise. As part of this retainer, I will also provide monthly analytics reports and improve your site conversion.

FAQ

FAQ

How much do you charge for website development?2022-01-30T16:21:55+00:00

I cannot respond to this question clearly. At initial email or inquiry, a client often does not explain who they are, what they do, what problem they are facing. I also have no clue about the scope of work. A client says I need a website, but no logo, no brand guidelines, etc. In addition, what CMS(Contents Management System) they want to use, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace… It influences the backend work of web hosting.

I would like to mention a piece of basic information for an estimate.
– Introduction to your business/industry
– What problem are you facing, the current situation
– What you want to achieve through the project
– Any brand/business assets
– Domain & web hosting

How long does it take to build a website?2021-11-19T03:08:20+00:00

It basically takes within 3 weeks. I take the process below. If you have a clear vision, the term becomes shorter. In my experience, it does not happen frequently. So, I need time to visualize what your thought.

1. Project Setup
2. Research
3. Mood board
4. Wireframing
5. Prototype
6. Development
7. Testing
8. Deployment
9. Support

How much are your design services per hour?2021-11-19T03:05:00+00:00

I basically don’t work with the client at an hourly rate. Hourly rate is unclear the client’s cost until the project is completed. I keep transparent in the design process, but a fixed price is better for both a client and myself. Therefore, at the beginning of the project, we will zoom, discuss about a project and you can picture how I serve you.

How many logo design plans will you provide?2021-11-19T03:00:04+00:00

I will show multiple options. According to the data, I submit at least 3 plans. If you look for a specific style, please share the image as a reference. I respect your preference. Of cause, I will think out of the box idea as well.

Why are you in Vancouver, Canada?2022-01-30T16:19:55+00:00

I came to Vancouver, Canada late 2012. I did not have any plans at that time. For some reason, I got PR in 2016. I updated it this year (once 5 years I need an update). I met many people and I am here. I think this is life. We cannot predict the future. I don’t know where is my next destination yet.

Are you do work yourself? or third-party?2022-01-30T16:22:23+00:00

In 2021, mainly I am in charge of all of the projects. I like collaborating with talented people in the world, but finding an A+ player who is responsible is not easy. If it sounds like you, please send me your portfolio. Let’s work together!

What is the most favorite YouTube channel?2022-01-30T16:23:15+00:00

My favorite has often changed. I was listening to The Futur in 2018, but they don’t have many new contents in 2021. Flux still educates me about design. Recently, This Week in Startups by Jason Calacanis often pops up. The program teaches me about startups, investor thinking and business. Tony Robbins motives me. I sometimes listen to music, Alessia Cara, Billie Eilish etc. There is no specific artist.
