Seishinjyuku Vancouver
Management Philosophy Study Group – Vancouver
Website: Seishinjyuku-Vancouver.org
Overview
Originally a study group for young business owners, Seiwajyuku now has more than 14,000 members. It began in 1983 in Kyoto when these business owners approached Inamori eagerly wanting to learn about business management. – Official Website of Kazuo Inamori
Seiwajyuku was broke up at the end of 2019. However, a lot of people still follow his philosophy. The organization cannot use his name and the word, Seiwajyuku. Therefore, people who want to learn his philosophy established Seishinjyuku. I am a Vancouver member even though I don’t have enough qualifications.
Design Thinking
I built the previous website in 2015. Now I feel that it looks old and inappropriate. Time goes by. It may be inevitable, but I willing to use a website for at least 5 years without much maintenance. Website does not belong to me, belong to the organization. I want the member to manage and utilize the website themselves.
– Minimum design for using the website for 5 years.
– Easy to update for everyone.
– Yearly schedule
– Column/blog by the members.
– Don’t require updates frequently.
– Record of the organization.
– Inform activities and welcome new members and speakers.
– Maintain relationships with other locations.
Result
In this project, I applied a new function, a full-screen slider. WordPress theme caught up with my requirements. I could test it. I also set the schedule for development in 5 days. I could achieve that, but I prefer 2 weeks with no rush in my client’s project.
The website itself has not many values if it is not updated. The user has to interact with it. The function may be blog, column or the member account. I still don’t know how it works. Will see in 6 month later.
