Overview
I became a Webflow Certified Partner in 2021, and since then, I have provided Webflow website development services to clients. Although Webflow isn’t very well-known, many clients prefer WordPress, and I fully support their choice. I adapt to whatever CMS they want.
As a web and graphic designer, I like Webflow because it allows me to visualize prototypes (from Figma) without much limitation. Webflow is flexible, logical, convenient (especially with dynamic content), and interactive. However, it may not be ideal for clients who want to manage it in-house, as Webflow has a learning curve. I’ve spent over 100 hours on it and am still learning.

・Prototype: High-fidelity prototypes provide a preview of the website’s functionality and layout.
・Development: I don’t always create fully interactive prototypes, but during the Webflow development process, I implement as many interactions as possible.
I focus on maximizing client value by:

・SEO: Beyond functionality, I ensure the website generates leads for the client.
Upon project completion, my ultimate goal is client satisfaction and the improved performance of their Webflow website. I install Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor performance after delivering the Webflow website. Launching the Webflow website is not the goal; it’s just the beginning of the business. The client’s Webflow website should generate new leads and increase sales, far exceeding the initial cost.
Austin Gallant is the best tattoo artist in Calgary, Alberta. His initial inquiry through the Webflow official profile page was about the responsiveness of the Webflow website he had developed. We exchanged a couple of emails, but I didn’t work with him at that time.
A few months later, Austin reached out to me again. This time, he requested a fully developed website using Webflow. As a tattoo artist, he has a distinct brand identity and color palette. I respected his brand assets and preferences, avoiding the dark mode often used in tattoo portfolios.

I personally use AI tools to improve productivity but often feel overwhelmed by the constant stream of new AI tools being released each month. To be honest, I’m not sure which tools are the best.

Webflow’s CMS market share is still small, around 1%. According to industry articles, Webflow’s recurring revenue is $100 million. It’s a competitive market, but I look forward to seeing how Webflow grows its community in the future.
I developed a website using Webflow because the clients chose it, and I am pleased to collaborate with them. If you decide to hire a Webflow developer, please be cautious about the backend. When I searched for a Webflow collaborator on Upwork, many offered affordable prices. I requested read-only links from my shortlist, and some were completely messy—no page structure, inconsistent CSS naming, and a lack of proper organization. Clients usually don’t notice these issues, but many on Upwork are not professionals. The front-end is okay, but the back-end is not. It makes in-house updates difficult.
