Story: Understand a target audience
All the projects in which I involve start from research.
– Client
– Industry
– Competitor
– Current customer
– Target audience
This information tells me the industry standard. Then, I objectively look at a website. I find what good is, how to improve it, and the hint of the contents. At this point, nothing to know about a client will be a benefit. You can understand the way to think of a target audience who doesn’t know about a client, even though not always a new customer though. Once I learned the process, I have no worry to work with any clients. It’s significantly rare what a client’s business does not have a competitor.
My website project is usually in 3 weeks. Using the time for research is 2-3 days at most. So, I would like to improve productivity.

Details are on the Shopify blog. I focused on 6. Know how to recruit participants when you don’t have any customers. Most of the designers do not have a user testing solution. I don’t think a designer subscribes to the major user testing service. What do I do? Should I send an estimate to a client include it?
In short, Better user research = better products.

First of all, this is a well-structured website. We can learn from the content structure of the website, hero section with CTA, video/credential(clients)/about and video(short)/feature/how it works/ask/feature/target audience/testimonials/blog/CTA/footer. Most websites can be improved following this website.
I don’t prefer hiding the price. According to Google, it costs around $300-$400/mo.
I did not know that people earn the fee through user testing. There are many ways to earn money nowadays, Uber, DoorDash or UserTesting. You cannot be bigger than a platform, but you don’t have to live on the street as well.

On the user section(client logos), I can see them on the other UX testing services. Is it really the client?
The bottom 2 services are relatively affordable. Not much depth as a website. The website shows the value of service, affordability, compares to other websites.
Conclusion: Next level of web design service
I don’t have a chance to use the UX research service so far. If I start to charge over 10K for a web development service, I will consider using it.
