In the past, designers did design by hand. It requires talent. In the late 20 century, designers used Mac and Adobe for designing. It still had much learning curve for the user. In 2022, there is no border between designers and ordinary people. Design tools are on the internet. A template is available for everyone. Skill is not required. People can improve their design skills naturally if they make something frequently.
Canva is an Australian graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The app includes templates for users to use. – Wikipedia
I used Canva as a free account and it is great. Millennial or Gen-Z who is not a designer does not need to use Adobe. Canva is enough and affordable.

UI looks casual and targets young females. Males may feel that the brand does not fit their taste.

Online brand guidelines, brand assets, and brand templates are industry common directions. Develop once and apply it everywhere. Working with a team online is also key.
Most of the elements are premade. Users do just drag & drop. Developing from scratch is available if you want.

What makes Canva great is that I can use the tools even though I am a free account.
Do you know what the common is? Usually, create an account for free, trial for 7-14 days. Then, a company asks for a credit card number and starts charging a user.

Planning posts and making a posting schedule on Canva. It is useful. The user does not have to use Hootsuite. I don’t know if Adobe can do this.

Conclusion: Reason to use
As you see above, people have a reason to use Canva, develop a brand, edit videos for YouTube, plan for IG, etc. Everyone can use social media in 2022. Platforms are a lot, but ordinally people don’t want to use Adobe. It is expensive. so, Canve fits a market and the target audience is larger than Adobe.
I worked as a web/graphic designer for over 10,000 hours. This experience developed the core, essential skills. However, I cannot at ease. Everyone is creating something every day on Canva. The designer has to be really pro.
Ai technology may take place in designers’ work near future. I have to keep learning in life for contributing to a client’s business. I can do it. Because I like what I am doing.
