Story: Online presence
As a freelance web/graphic designer, I have to display what I can do on the internet. Some great people utilize social media, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc, and enhance their value. I cannot do it. I don’t want to speak in front of a camera and don’t want to share with it. I don’t think I can provide values like them. Most of all, I don’t want to see myself on the internet. We have to get out comfort zone if we want to improve, but it’s up to us, the purpose why we do it.
When I finish the project, I update my portfolio and Behance. The last year, I could hit my goal, 1000 views by the end of 2020. This year, I could the view double in half the year. When someone comments or clicks the appreciation button, I receive the notification. When I check the other’s work, I felt something weird. The work is not super great, but the view shows over 20K. They live in India or Pakistan. I thought there is a hack something even though I don’t do it.
I would like to find it.
Behance
According to the records, I created the Behance account on September 11, 2017. I was not an active user until 2020. During the pandemic, I organized the portfolio and uploaded my work. I did not get much attention, but I could reach a 1K view in the end of 2020.
It is impossible to get over 1K view in a few days if you just post the work. Sharing other social media is basic. People who feature the work on the top page on Behance are something doing. I don’t know whether they are buying the view or not. Their work is great, but, simply does not make sense sometimes.

I have never bought any views or appreciation. Therefore, I can see some rules, 10% of views = appreciations, 10% of appreciations = followers.

I don’t like to follow and unfollow methods. I have some experience people tried it to me. Disgraceful. I am not familiar with Reddit, I am using Facebook right now. I frequently see redesign projects.
Drive.org
When I search “Behance view bot” on Google, Google shows “buy behance view” “behance fake likes” as alternative keywords. It’s evidence of what people search often. Even I saw Google Ads for fake views/likes. No regulation?
Drive.org shows up on the top, not ad. It looks not fake. I don’t know how it works. To be updated.
Example of Fake(personal impression)
This person clicked appreciations to my project. It’s an authentic way. I usually don’t check their Behance page. I send thank you message with @ in the comment section. I coincidently looked at his work. It’s okay, but it’s not great. Uploaded only 1 thumbnail for each project, but I saw over 30 likes. It does not make sense to me. I think he bought views or likes.
Conclusion: Target audience
I received a few inquiries through Behance. They were HR and looking for a designer in my area. Therefore, my target audience is HR at creative related companies, not the art director or creative director. There are tons of great web designers and graphic designers in the world. I am not better than them.
I don’t expect something good to happen on Behance. I just focus on what I can do right now.
