I believe that AI will soon be capable of developing websites. AI can learn web design by analyzing existing websites on the internet. While each website may have a unique user interface and visual expression, the underlying structure is often similar. Recognizing this pattern, AI can manipulate it effortlessly.
Recently, I came across Mixo, an AI web design tool, and decided to test it out.
Mixo
The hero section appears distorted on the Macbook Pro, with the components not fitting properly. It seems like the web developer designed this website on a desktop with a larger monitor, probably around 24 or 27 inches. Despite the layout issue, I do appreciate the header as it effectively targets their audience by mentioning free access and the option to cancel anytime. This is a standard approach, but it’s not often seen on recent AI websites. Many companies tend to prioritize development rather than customer acquisition. Overall, the user interface is decent. However, I have some doubts about the credibility of the credentials and numbers presented on the site.

Yes, startups can create a public website with Mixo quickly. I’m not certain if it’s a major concern for most startups. Typically, they have developers who can choose a suitable template from platforms like WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or Webflow. The template looks much better than a generated website on Mixo. In that case, why would a startup choose to use Mixo?
Conclusion: I cannot use Mixo
I tried out Mixo, but it appears to be in MVP (Minimum Viable Product) mode. While I appreciate their clear target audience, the generated website didn’t leave a strong impression.
Nevertheless, one of the strengths of AI is its continuous learning ability without complacency. In essence, AI doesn’t deteriorate over time. I have a sense of urgency that AI will eventually replace web designers in the near future. Therefore, I am committed to constantly learning and expanding my skills to better serve clients.
