Story: How to achieve a fast shipment
I am researching how to achieve fast dropshipping by WooCommerce website and I found a fulfillment service by chance. One of my eCommerce website plan requires custom packing. Fulfillment service may be the solution for it, but my understanding that I need to order products first. Then, ship to fulfillment.
My understanding is that dropshipping does not require any stock. If I use fulfillment service, It sounds not dropshipping. I have to have an inventory somewhere in North America.

I could not understand the dropshipping model. Why seller send fulfillment center after received order rather than sending to the buyer. 3PL model sounds what I need.

– 3PL = Fulfillment center stocks your product. Keep inventory, inspection, custom packaging and takes care of the shipping and return, and more. A cost may go up.
– Dropshipping = Factory ships product to a customer. It has quality issues and shipping time issues.

I checked CJDropshipping.com. I searched for specific products in the US warehouse. CJDropshipping.com has only 2 items. This does not work.
Only charge the processing fee ，If you buy from CJ , there is no processing fee even!
The above are benefits. My product matches CJDropshipping.com’s strength. otherwise, I have to buy products at Alibaba/AliExpess and ship to CJDropshipping fulfillment. One of the benefits of fulfillment is that I can custom packaging as part of the brand.

I believe that Amazon provides great service, but I don’t use the Amazon platform at moment. I would like to test WooCommerce and Shopify. Once I could see the result, I may open an Amazon store in the future.
