Forum website is one of the popular types of the website, Reddit, Quora, Stack Overflow. People post a question on the site and someone who knows an answer responds to it. I don’t use frequently, but generally, you can find an answer.
I have an inquiry from a startup. He told me what functions he is looking for. People write their opinion or comment on the website. I knew the function. but I even didn’t know how to search it. I already figured it out and I searched for how to build(or install) a forum website by WordPress.

The customization may difficult. It’s dragged depends on the WordPress theme. I stuck for some issues in a few days. General forum sites already exist. If you find a nitch topic, it may get attention from an audience.
bbPress Experience
At first, it was not a normal forum. I have to install 1 topic on the landing page. For that, I have to use the shortcode below.
[bbp-single-tag id=$tag_id] – Display a list of all topics associated with a specific tag. eg. [bbp-single-tag id=64]
I stuck looking for id a few days. How do I know id? I checked the code, then I could find id.
You cannot forget to embed these codes for a new user. Otherwise, no one writes a comment.

The default bbPress Roles are:
Keymaster: Can create, edit and delete other users’ forums, topics and replies. Can manage Tags, and moderate a forum with the moderation tools. Has access to global forum settings, tools, and importer.
Moderator: Can create and edit forums. Can create, edit and delete other users’ topics and replies. Can manage Tags, and moderate a forum with the moderation tools.
Participant: Can create and edit their own topics and replies.
Spectator: Can only read topics and replies.
Blocked: All capabilities are explicitly blocked.

Forum site requires to sign up. You have a responsibility for your comment. Some people use forum sites to build a backlink. I don’t know how to do it safely yet.
I don’t use this website often, but people are kind. When you ask something question, people give you an answer. This is the benefit of internet.
Quora: An American question-and-answer website
Quora require membership. I don’t know good or bad.
stack overflow: For developers, by developers
This is a good example to launch a forum website. Very specific. I don’t know whether I will build it or not, but it’s better to focus.
Conclusion: Ask question
When I had a question or faced an issue that I don’t know, Google often shows an answer. YouTube also shows how to do something I don’t know. It’s a convenient society.
I sometimes hesitate to ask a question before I don’t put on any effort into it. It may say curiosity, but it may show a rude. It depends on the situation.
