Story: Start with why
In December 2021, I keep thinking about a stable freelance business. I did accounting in 2021. In April, I received only $160/mo. In June, I received $14K/mo. In October and December are also over $10K/mo. This is not what business looks like.
– Why do people struggle to get a client?
– I don’t want to wait for the next client. What if a salesperson sells my service instead of me?
I do sales(marketing) as much as possible, but time is limited. I cannot hire a full-time salesperson. I searched “sales” on Upwork. I found the word, “Sales Generation”, “Sales Leads”. I was not sure what exactly they offer. I searched for it to make a stable business in 2022.

I don’t have a mentor, but I learn from a digital mentor in the world. I don’t wait for someone’s help. I do help by myself.
Conclusion: What I learned
Whether I hire a salesperson or not, I need to know my target audience. I generally have an image and I have a rough note about it. I am going to document it clearly. I can share it with the salesperson if I outsource. I wanted to this process automation, don’t involve a salesperson’s job. If so, I could focus on my work, but it’s not going to happen.
Great business leaders do follow up after they appoint a person and give tasks with responsibility. A person who is in charge of a task may do their work, but a leader has to take responsibility once it failed. In the past, I hired a designer, but he missed the deadline. It was a terrible experience, but I realized that it was my fault. Because I did not follow up and manage him. So, I am going to use my experience if I have a next.
