Story: What you sell?
I bought 1 domain for Woocommerce website3. I considered it for a while. This is the first experiment in 2020.
I also have been kept a domain that I like since 2014. It was just a blog about the local shops for attracting a traveler. I’ve never considered monetizing. Therefore, I could not continue at last.
The new domain is what I think to be able to sell. The other is what I want to sell. This is an interesting contrast. I would like to experiment with this project for at least 1 year. You know what? There is no failure if you don’t give up.
How to Find the Right Supplier on AliExpress
Supplier types:
– Manufacture
– Wholesalers/Distributors(small to medium quantities of a lot of products)
– Trader(large quantities of a limited range of products)
Difference of Alibaba & AliExpress
Alibaba:
– Large quantity orders to get the cheapest price
– Custom products/private label
AliExpress
– Lower quantities
– A lot of trading companies and smaller distributors (Don’t choose it.)
How to evaluate it?
– Feedback rates (95% and higher)
– Number of years the store has been in business.
– Compare price (the cheapest is not always good)
– Seller’s products list (consistency)
– Check item details/description
– Guarantees (returen policy)
– Contact
– Respose time (UTC +8)
– Price negotiation
Other considerations:
– Product quality
– Delivery time

Basically, the video mentions process of import products to your Woocommerce website from AliExpress. Very straight forward. However, the video does not mention how to choose the products. You have to know it before accturally sell products. You have to find right supplier to making a dropshipping business.

Every service has pros and cons. We cannot make a decision based on only benefits. We should know negative opinion.
Reasons:
– Competition
– Cannot branding
– Expensive
The video recommends Alibaba instead of AliExpress.
– Available many products as same as AliExpress
– Product quality
– Less trading company
– Better price(always should)
– Branding
– Dropshipping agent
– Faster shipping
In the end, the video recommends Shopify. I don’t use it right now. I don’t prefer subscription model, forever payment.

There are many middlemen on the supplier. You can use them intentionally, but you have to accept the price goes up. If the products are still imperfect, it just a fraud.
Alibaba hacks (how to choose a reliable supplier/how to get amazing price and amazing quality product):
– Middleman (trading company). Check address(should not be in an office building), picture or video call.
– Contact more than 1 supplier, compare a few estimates. Rush invoice. Negotiation(price and MOQ).
– Chinese Alibaba.(1688.com) Take screenshot. Use it as a price negotiation.
– The domestic Chinese company has to use the address first. Address, business(what the company does), and company type.
– Company revenue, employee, phone number, product certificate. (ISO, SGS)

I featured Aliexpress. When I searched on YouTube, there some negative opinion. I don’t listen about their opinion before I do myself. However, I realized AliExpress is the one of way for dropshipping. There are different services.
As you see, Oberlo works on Shopify platform. Shopify and Oberlo require a monthly fee and it’s forever. If you have the confidence to make enough cash flow, these are good platforms for you. I don’t like the subscription model right at the moment. Therefore, I use Woocommerce.
Conclusion: Try first, think second

There are many optimistic videos as well as pessimistic ones. Either way, we have to try it. Otherwise, we cannot learn anything. In addition, I may need something purpose.
I feel the majority of videos emphasize a passive income, but I don’t think there is a way to earn money easily. Even we sometimes accomplished, it won’t be continued for a long time.
