WordPress is by far the most popular CMS with 60.4% of the market share. This means WordPress is used by 33.5% of all the websites online. – isitwp
The majority of websites are built by WordPress CMS. I use WordPress and Webflow. It is better if it’s easy to use for the client after delivery.
I used Avada for a while. It’s okay. I get used to it. I searched other themes and Divi is the best seller for WordPress CMS according to Darrel Wilson(affiliate?). Elementor is also a popular WP theme, but the pricing is not suitable for me, charging each year. Instead of Elementor, Divi has a one-time payment option. So, I bought Divi on Black Friday. Since then, I did not use Divi.
Why not learning about Divi and use it if I am comfortable.

I like clear prices, $89/year or $249/license. I cannot choose a yearly subscription. For the client project, $249 is not so expensive for me. If I compare Divi as a WordPress theme, it’s the one of expensive WP theme in the market.
However, Divi is one of the top popular WordPress theme. Great reputation actually.

Any WordPress theme requires learning at first. Divi is not an exception. I am on the learning curve.
I found a market place, but I don’t know why I need it. I bought Divi for a 1-time payment. I don’t know what I cannot do on Divi. This year, I am going to skip it, but next year, I may buy it.
I found Divi Layout Library. I think it has a common issue. There are a lot of layouts. Therefore, ordinary people cannot choose one, or gets tired when they compare one another.

I watched for an hour and a half. I skipped some parts. The tip of learning is to know what I can do. I don’t remember where the button is or how to do it. If I know what I can do, I can consider it on a prototype. I am sure that what Avada can do is what Divi can do as well.

Conclusion: Worry comes from unknown
I want to use the Divi theme on my next project, but I don’t really know what I can do, cannot do. I may find a small web design project, between $2K-$3K, for practice. I won’t compromise the basic quality. I will find a solution to whatever I will face.

I wondered how can a client modify the website themselves if I develop the website by Divi? I have a lifetime access licence, but a client is not. I searched for an answer. Basically, a client needs to ask me to modify the website. Or a client needs to buy their licence, US$89/year or US$249/lifetime. This may be going to be an issue. I have to make sure of this condition with a client.
Therefore, I like Avada or the ordinary WP paid theme. I don’t have to think about licencing once I purchase.
