Story: Design consultancy

Active listening is a technique that is used in counseling, training, and solving disputes or conflicts. It requires that the listener fully concentrate, understand, respond and then remember what is being said. – Wikipedia

“We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.” – Epictetus

When I start a new project, I look for the answer in the insight of a client. I listen the client’s briefing carefully to ask questions clearly. Once I receive clear, concise information, it very helps me to create a design. I don’t have to discover many direction if it’s unnecessary. I practice it when I attend a meetup and regular club meeting. Less talk, listen more.
